All USA College Academic Team: Nominated college students
write a 250-word essay describing the most outstanding intellectual
endeavor of their college career. 60 applicants receive recognition
in USA Today and 20 receive $2,500. Deadline: November

Coca-Cola
Scholarships: High school seniors planning to attend college
are eligible for awards based on leadership, character, academic
record and extracurricular activities. Awards will partially reflect
the demographic profiles of selection districts. Semifinalists
submit a second application, including an essay, secondary school
report and recommendations. Fifty $20,000 scholarships and 100
$4,000 scholarships are awarded for four years. Initial deadline:

Americana Scholarship Contest: High school juniors and seniors
who correctly answer ten questions using the EA Online database
(ea.grolier.com) will be entered into a random drawing. One scholarship

Press Theatre for Youth Playwriting Award: College students
submit an original play based on a theme appealing to elementary-
and high school-aged students. The winner receives $1,000 and
a fellowship to attend two theater festivals. Deadline: November.

Young Soloists Award: Vocalists or instrumentalists up to
age 25 who plan to study music and have a physical or mental disability

biography explaining why they should win this award. One award

Undergraduate Scholarships: College undergraduates enrolled
or planning to enroll in a four- or five-year program in construction
or civil engineering are eligible for an award based on academic,
extracurricular and employment records as well as financial need
and interest in construction as a career. Finalists are interviewed,

Scholarship Award In Physical Therapy: Minority students who
