About Dr. Irving Spitz

Irving Spitz writes, reviews and lectures on medical topics, music, art, history and travel.  Some of his articles, essays and reviews can be seen at www.irvingspitz.com.  Additional photographs can be seen at www.pbase.com/irvspitz.  Dr Spitz holds MD, PhD and DSc degrees from the Witwatersrand University in Johannesburg, South Africa and is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of London. He is Adjunct Professor of Medicine at Weill Medical College of Cornell University in New York and Emeritus Professor of Endocrinology at Ben Gurion University of the Negev in Israel.  He is a member of several scientific societies, has authored some 250 scientific publications and consults for several international pharmaceutical companies.
