Can Paying Bonuses to Teachers Raise Test Scores?

A Vanderbilt University study recently revealed that solely issuing bonus pay to teachers does not raise their students' test scores. The study was conducted by the National Center for Performance Incentives at Vanderbilt University's Peabody College of Education and Human Development along with the RAND Corporation.
