Bramson
Ort College
Bramson
Ort College, based in Forest Hills, New York, graduated 217 students
in June, the vast majority of whom received associate’s degrees.
Last year, the College opened its extension site in Brooklyn.
With spacious, modern classrooms and computer laboratories, and
a centralized location in downtown Bensonhurst, the Brooklyn site
is fast becoming a magnet for aspiring immigrants who want to
learn English and polish their credentials.
Today, more and more Bramson ORT College students are learning
English, computer programming and American history without ever
leaving their homes. They are participants in the college’s innovative
Distance Learning Program, in which students take courses and
complete exams over the Internet. More than 80 students enrolled
in the program during the spring 2001 semester, studying and reading
lecture notes in their spare time. Both teachers and students
say the nontraditional method offers great advantages and allows
students to work and study at their own pace. For more information
