LIU Offers Training to Students in India

Due to a great need for trained personnel to process medical transcripts and billing documents in India, where many US hospitals have such documents processed, Long Island University’s School of Continuing Studies in Brooklyn was chosen by the Institute for Health Information Management in Pune, India to establish an affiliate relationship.

The School of Continuing Studies will monitor the instruction taking place in India through teleconferencing and frequent staff visits. The school will then certify students in Medical Transcription and Physician’s Billing.
