Student Radio Drama Festival on WNYE-FM
by Katarzyna Kozanecka

The Writers’ Guild of America, East and the Teachers & Writers Collaborative will sponsor the first annual Big Apple International College/School Short-Radio-Drama Festival on WNYE-FM, the NYC Board of Education’s radio station. All short-radio-dramas submitted that meet “broadcast quality” will air on T & W’s Anything Goes! on WNYE-FM in the fall of 2001. A selected few will be submitted to public radio networks for possible broadcast nationally and worldwide. The drama festival is part of a campaign by the Writers’ Guild and T&W to make short-radio-drama a regular feature of the broadcast dial. To obtain an application, instructions and sample short-radio-drama script, write to Giselle Miller, Program Manager, WGAE Short-Radio-Drama Committee, 555 W. 57th St, New York, NY 10019 or email igonshak@aol.com. Deadline: November 15, 2001.
