Immerse yourself in plants and nature. Discover new ways to use the outdoors as an extension of the classroom and enrich your curriculum with lesson plans, activities, and reproducible resources. In-service credits are available.

Teacher Education Courses at The New York Botanical Garden

Plant Science and Ecology

Sundays, May 1, 8, 15, 22, 29, and June 5, 9 a.m.–4 p.m.

Seedlings Summer Institute

Teachers, Grades K–2

Monday–Saturday, July 11–16 or July 18–23, 9 a.m.–4 p.m.

SAPLINGS SUMMER INSTITUTE

Teachers, Grades 3–5

Monday–Saturday, July 25–30* or August 1–6, 9 a.m.–4 p.m.

* Institute taught at NYBG Midtown Education Center in Manhattan

Three “P” in-service credits from the New York City Department of Education are available for each institute (additional fees and requirements apply).

COST: $200 (includes curriculum materials, handouts, and plants)
